New Member here!

Post by Fmjunkie »

Hey there gang. New member here and just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself: This week my first CJ amplifier was delivered to my door: an MV-75 with the a-1 updates from 1983. Looks like everything is original to the last update, so I may bug those of you on this forum from time to time as I restore it. Apart from some dust, aging components, and a little rust, she looks great.

A bit about me: I've been into audio for about 20 years as an avid listener, collector, and tinker-er. I live not far from CJ, in Washington, DC, and spend most of my free time (to my wife's chagrin) working on turntables, amplifiers, speakers in our garage. It's a lot of fun, and I always enjoy meeting others in this area buying, selling, and trading gear.

I get a great deal of pleasure taking something neglected, beat up, or just forgotten, and giving it a second life. But to that end, I'm keeping the MV77 and am I'm excited to be part of this community, now.

Welcome to CJO, wonderful to have you with us.

Congrats on the MV77. The is a classic. Out of curiosity, what are you planning to do in terms of restoration of the unit?

Let us know how things work out.
