Lampizator Big Seven DAC.

Hola Chicos,

My dearest friend Roch passed, and I did sell some goods of his sound system, one is this Lampizator Big Seven DAC. The problem is a noisy choke :

I did try to contact the Lampizator Company with no success and also the new owner here in the US. The problem is that he is a very intense person, and he wrote more than 20 emails regarding this part...he saturated them with this...

By any chance, is someone who could help me regarding this? The way is to find a person who could send the chokes to Miami, Florida and I have a courier service to Costa Rica. I will cancel the full invoice with PayPal or CC like visa MC.

Roberto, how exactly can we help in this situation? Are you saying you would like somebody in the US to order a part with shipping domestically to the US and then mail it to Costa Rica?

I will pay the bill via PayPal, and you can ship the parts to a courier service that I use from Miami to here, Costa Rica. You will be shipping to Miami, Fl. Our main problem is to be here...and service it a hell kitchen.

Follow up...

I got the phone number of the main General Manager person of Lampizator. I wrote him and no answer. I did send to the Factory at Poland some emails and no answer. From the Office of the USA, they said that the unit must be sent to them for an upgrade, and also servicing the unit...a cost circa $5000.00 because sending the unit to them and the up-grade cost (around $3500 plus the repair) and also we have to pay high duties due the upgrade and the service.

So, an Angel that lives here in Costa Rica, who is a Polish, I contacted him...and lucky me, guess what? He is now in Poland visiting his family. Through email, I sent him all the info needed for these special chokes, (coils) and he contacted the factor of the parts, and he got them just specially made for him...they said, it will take only two days to make the exact coils...

He is coming back to Costa Rica on May 7th, so he is bringing them. End of the story.

Just got the parts recently and the DAC is perfect. By the way, it is a great sounding DAC. Its sound is very musical and also very accurate with the stage and the quality sound. It really challenges my Holo...but still my choice is the Holo May Kte. Perhaps this is because I am accustomed to the Holo sound. Both are great sounding DACs

By the wall y, I got a lot of different brands of 6922-E88CC tubes. Some really have very interesting differences in the overall tonal characteristic and stage presentation. I ended chosen the Genalex Gold Lion, and in my system I have good of everything and in some comparisons the Genalex was the clear winner. This is my liking and also it is my system. I do know that with different speakers and electronics this Genalex might not be your choice and this is O.K.

Glad it's repaired and up and running. That was logistically a difficult repair and I'm happy to hear it turned out well.

The Holo Audio May KTE dac is amazing. I'm really in love with mine as well.
