Customer Service
I have tried to contact this company by their online service request form and tried calling them. I get no response either way. Either this company is out of business or they don't give a shit about their customer service. At this point, I would not purchase a CJ product if you expect any form of ...

Re: LP 275M No Output
Turned out to simply be one of the 6922 tubes shorted. Without a tester, I had a hard time finding it.

Re: LP 275M No Output
Last night I replaced the flashing small tube and rebiased the outputs. The amp was playing fine with no noise at all. I only left it on for a few minutes though. Today I turned the amp on to see if it was stable and after a few minutes,a few of the bias led's started flashing. I turned the amp off ...

Re: LP 275M No Output
I have isolated the tube position, but it isn't a bad tube as I have tried 3 or 4 and only 1 was really bad, but the noise was still there. Where can I find a schematic to try and trouble shoot this problem. The amp is working now, but the problem is still there, bad component, resistor, capacitor ...

Re: LP 275M No Output
I did replace the flashing tube. I powered it up again and it is working sporatically with a lot of noise in the speaker. I suspect an output tube, tapped on all the tubes to try and figure out if one is bad. I don't have any spares to do a swap out. I will switch the tubes with the other amp to see ...

LP 275M No Output
I was recently trying to listen to music after a storm and the output on one channel of my LP 275M amps was lower than the other channel and the sound was kind of degraded. I had been tube rolling with the input tubes and I decided to change out those tubes thinking that might be the problem. I was ...

Re: KT 150's
Thanks for the replies. Seems like I asked that question a few years back, but couldn't remember the answer. The KT120's work and sound great.

Re: LP 140M 6922 Replacement
Just finished a short listening session with the Amperex 7308 replacing the center EH 6922 in my LP140M's. What a difference in just the 2 tubes. The EH sounded pretty good, I could easily live with it. But when I installed the Amperex tubes, it was like someone lifted a veil off the speakers. To my ...

Re: LP 140M 6922 Replacement
Thanks RJ, I thought I read somewhere that the amps were fine tuned for EH tubes and if you used any other tube, you might damage the amp. I thought that was really bizarre. Which one of the 3 tubes has the most influence on the sound of the amp. I know in the Premier 140, the 6922 did make a ...

Re: LP 140M 6922 Replacement
Sorry, I should have been more explicit. I am referring to the fact that CJ doesn't recommend replacing the 6922 tubes with anything other than the Electro Harmonix that are currently in the amp. I replaced a Premier 140 with the LP140M's and using an Amperex 7308 sounded much smoother through the ...

LP 140M 6922 Replacement
I have read that CJ does a mod on the LP140M To accept other 6922 tubes. What is this mod and is it something I can do without shipping the amps to Virginia?

Re: KT-150 in CJ Amps
Thanks for the replies. I did some reading from the earlier posts and thought maybe someone had tried the KT-150's and they worked out OK. I like the KT-120's, but like most audiophiles, always get the itch to try something better.

KT-150 in CJ Amps
What is the latest school of thought on using KT-150's in older CJ amplifiers, particularly the Premier 140? Currently running KT-120's, but would like to experiment with KT-150's.

Re: Problem with Premier 140
Roberto, thanks for the info. I will look into the Shatki stone. I heard about it in the past, never pursued it though. I did tighten the neutral and ground lugs in the panel. Some of them were kind of loose. I did have a power problem once before and it turned out to be one of the lugs at the meter ...

Re: Problem with Premier 140
The amp seemed to be working fine, but last night, when my wife was doing laundry, the amp was picking up RF from the washing machine motor. I could hear it sitting about 10 feet away. I disconnected the amp from the Shunyata Hydra unit and plugged it straight in the wall. The noise was still there ...

Re: Problem with Premier 140
Amp is on its way back from factory. Problem was bad power supplies driving the small tubes. Also some burnt resistors. Thanks for all the input.

Re: Problem with Premier 140
Roberto,
I checked the amp without the RCA connectors several times. That was the first thing that I checked. I thought my PS Audio DirectStream DAC had a problem. The noise was still there without the volume control in the loop. It is the amp. First time in years that I have had a problem with a ...
