I had the 6 SE about a week for a home trial. There is a difference but I think it’s a matter of taste. After maintenance the 17 LS sounds great again - very musical.

Indeed the Final 12 plus is 13.000 euro and the Martin Logan must be around 16.600 euro in the Netherlands. I dont think a need a sub - I only play music.

The First thing I Tried admin. I always have a new spare pair of tubes. My impression is that after two hours “on” the heights are getting Worse.

I Think a ET 7 is too expensive in Holland. I could afford myself an ET 6 or an ET 6 SE.

More a question of General interest Admin. They say tube amp have a low damping Factor. Besides there are different Speakers then Martin Logan.

Thank you both very much. At the moment I use 5 meter Ocos cable as loudspeaker cable. Lenght does not matter at all because it is a coax cable with constant impedance. I think I better keep it like that.

In my specific situation it would be ideal that pre (17 LS) and power amplifier (11a) would be seperated about 3,5 to 4 meter. Will this cause problems and how to solve ...

I intend to replace the tubes of my premier 11a. Tungsols 6550 and Sovteks 5751 is no problem. I can not find Sylvania 6FQ7. Which tube is a proper replacement?

My 17 LS had been repaired and my system sounds excellent Again. Still dreaming of a new Conrad Johnson pre amplifier ( my birthday is februari 18th). But were to listen in Holland or Germany? You Will not believe it, but my Conrad Johnson dealer 5 minutes from my house retired for two years.
