I have for sale a Conrad Johnson TEA2 SE HG Phono Preamp. This is the high-gain version with Teflon capacitors. I used it successfully to handle a low output 0.3mv Audio Technica AT33PTG cartridge. The minimal zero-feedback circuit implemented with top-shelf components delivers a uniquely coherent, tonally accurate, detailed and musically satisfying sound. The unit is in immaculate functional and cosmetic condition. My reason for selling it is that I have recently purchased a CJ Premier 15S2 upgraded with Teflon capacitors. Truth be told, the difference is minor, the Teflon capacitors and MOSFET output buffer stage of the TEA2SE bring its performance very close to that of the Premier 15. Only a slight edge in transparency and sound staging separates the two. It comes with the original box and manual and two brand new sets of tubes, special select JJ Tesla ECC83S gold pin tubes and reissue Mullard CV4004 tubes.
