I finally broke down and ordered a set for the upstairs 1.7 system.
You wouldn't think such a small item would have such a large (positive) impact on the sound but they really do.
Greater bass output and they seem to just firm up the sound (if that makes any sense).
Pardon the clutter and general slobbiness but I live here so what can you do.

They have to help.
The OEM feet do not hold the panel in a well-fixed position.
The upgrade feet reduce smearing by more precisely fixing the location of the panel.
