Question CAT SL1 Signature mk2 with CJ Premier 8A Monoblock

Hi guys, good day.

I an in the survey for a tube pre amp and I have bumped CAT SL1 Signature mk2.
I am planning to pair them with my CJ Premier 8A Monoblock.

Does anyone has any experience matching both of this amp.

Appreciate your feedback and advice guys .

Based on specs, both should be a good match. However, that's only specs... can't really trust the specs, hence I use them only as guidelines.
Best would be to audition if possible, otherwise there's no way of telling. Then when you bring it home and install it in your system and for some reason it didn't work out, bummer! So do as much research as possible and try to audition on a similar based system.

Obviously depends on your speakers, source gear and room setup, most important aspect of any system put together. Do let us know when you get a chance to demo and what you think.

I got in touch with Bob at CAT and his responds was fast with comprehensive details. CAT provide update until 2024 for this amp but have to say its not cheap. However, looking at upgrade I was so much temp on it. He has furnish me complete technical guild on what to perform in varies stage including schematic diagram with explanation. Honestly, never expected that but I was happy to see CAT provides such great support and guild to their gears.

I haven't got around to test the amp yet. Will revert once I do.
