Post by metaxa64 »

I retubing my CJ Premiere 17Ls2. Previously I had terrible EH, then Genalex Gold Lion which were excellent. Now I have put four NOS ECC88 Philips Miniwatts from 1967 which have a spectacular sound

All good choices in my opinion. I often find that there is no one "best" tube but rather comes down to personal preference. Tube rolling has been limited recently by the outrageous price of tubes due to the war in Ukraine and Russian embargos. Once things return to normal I will probably stock up on some extra sets of tubes myself.
