I have an older leather coat that I have been wearing for 25 years and they were very helpful in recommending products to use for moisturizing and restoring the jacket. It worked really well. They also offer full service if you want to send your item in and they can take care of it themselves.

Vanson has a great restoration, repair and resizing department. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the Fall River factory over the years. I don’t know if it’s still in use, but they do continue to advertise their services.

I’ve always loved Vanson and their commitment to a custom fit, a very high quality finish, and great after the sale support.

There’s a thread on guitars too. I started them both.

Tal was nicknamed The Octopus for his huge hands. I’ve never owned one of his namesake models. I’ve have had a couple of prewar L5s, and one beautiful blonde book matched curly maple with great figure.

Gal’s discography is pretty varied in quality. He took quite a bit of time off, so he really had two careers. I like his first one better.

I’m down to two guitars and two motorcycles. I could go lower.

The closest I have to a jazzbox is an ES-137 Custom.




Found a nail in the Sir Costalot's rear tire so decided to freeze myself on the Crunched RS.

Only had one 120 year old guy in a car try to kill me. Not bad for a Sunday.

ES-137 is a good jazz box. And generally an excellent value.

Watch out for them 120 year old dudes. Also 60 year olds, 30 year olds, etc.

I got whacked on I-40 a couple of weeks ago when an 18 year old girl following my truck didn’t look up from her phone in time to stop when our lane stopped. Totaled her car. $6k damage to my bumper and hitch.

If I’d been on my bike, I would not be writing this. Her three point belt saved her. Her passenger side air bag deployed, but her driver’s side bag failed. It was an older car that had been improperly repaired in an earlier accident.

The car drivers haven't gotten any better over the Winter! Everybody, cut off the motorcycle...
They probably won't improve any over the next few months, either.
Flying ants are boiling out of the ground so today I ditched the Cee Bailey PopeCycle windshield and stuck on the smaller Palmer Products one.

Definitely have to watch for the cars. They'll run right over you if you are not careful.

As for bugs, I just keep the face shield down. Then when I get home I clean everything off water a damp cloth.

You’re both making the case for the myriad of bikes with power windshields that now exists. I love being able to move the shield up or down with a button.

Speaking of windshields, a Laminar Lip showed up for the GT.
This is a good addition - good wind protection and it cuts way down on the wind roar in the helmet.

I've had a spider in the helmet, a bee in the jacket but the worst was a stinkbug splatting on the faceshield.
There is NO getting away from the smell, visor up, visor down, same thing!

The body fluids of the ones we have here are a nasty irritant. If you get the fluid on your skin, it will raise a painful rash.
