Mr Jeff told me that the KT-150s are not a direct replacement for the KT-120s/6550s in Conrad Johnson power amps. The design of the amps are optimised for the use of each type of tubes. I had read the specifications on both tubes, and it looks that the KT-150s needs more current for the filament and also related with the output transformers. I don't know if this is the why Mr Jeff told me that.

JF told me not to use KT150s in my LP275Ms too.

Thanks for the replies. Seems like I asked that question a few years back, but couldn't remember the answer. The KT120's work and sound great.
