I have an opportunity for both, but the PV7 is significantly more affordable. Both have a phono section, and I would send either one off for service. Is the performance close enough to justify the lesser cost PV7?
Currently have a PV12, line stage only. The CJ bug has bitten me!

If both are up to spec, the PV5 will be the nicer unit in my opinion.
I did not upgrade from the 5 until the PV8.
