Bret in Michigan's system

Post by bhmsonlib »

Older C-J, but still really nice!

Sources: Thorens TD 166 Mk II TT, Soundsmith "Boheme" cart, Straightwire phono specific "Maestro" interconnect. Cambridge Audio Azur 840C CD player, Straightwire "Crescendo" interconnect. Nakamichi "Dragon" cassette tape deck, Straightwire "Virtuoso R" interconnects.

Preamp(s): C-J PV 10A, two of them. One older, with balance control (never use it), and two main outs. One "newer," w/o balance and only one main out. Interconnect to amp(s), Straightwire "Virtuoso R." Second PV 10 is backup for when I have to send my primary to Ed for service.

Amp(s): Primary: C-J MF 2500. Secondary: C-J MF 2200. Second amp has been backup for when Ed has my primary. Thinking about bi-amping to cure a perceived "leanness" in lower midrange with speakers in certain periods of Classical music. Speaker cables: single bi-wired Straightwire "Serenades."

Speakers: B & W "Nautilus" 804s, one pair. :)
