When I was doing research into building my own interconnect cables I decided to go with the wire that Blue Jeans Cable uses, the LC-1. I could not find one bad review. The only thing is that I really like locking RCA plugs. It puts zero strain on the connectors with putting them on and off, and you can make that connection super tight if you want. They sell the raw cable and it's very reasonably priced.wynnytsky wrote:....
My favorite interconnects are the "Blue Jeans Cable LC-1". They have Taversoe heads on them that grab just hard enough that they can be inserted and removed w/o twisting. About 15 years ago I got monster cables that have a grip so hard that I damaged several units pushing them into position. I have some monoprice interconnects with the same monster grip. No thank you.

Here is the link with the DIY instruction guide if anybody is interested.
I really don't like the monoprice interconnects. I love their other stuff as they are generally good quality and VERY VERY cheap in price. Their interconnects sound pretty terrible and their rca plugs are too tight and can damage your equipment.
