Merry christmas from Denmark

Post by franke »

Hi there.
I am new to the CJ community.
Just bought a set of LP275M.
They came in to my system, instead of Pass X600.
I think they do a damn good job.
The rest of my system is, pre Pass X1 (wich i think will have to go).
Phono, Hartvig Signature TT with battery pack, and platter upgrade. Breuer type8 tonearm. Lyra Atlas and Clearaudio Talisman pickups. Lamm LP2 deluxe and Pass Xono Phono amplifiers.
Digital, Audio Researh CD1 playing through a Danish Audio Design Dac 30.
Speakers are handmade, by a close friend.
I might be asking, a lot of stupid questions, as it is close to impossible, to find anybody that knows about CJ equipment over here.
All the best Frank

Welcome to the forum Frank!

Very nice system.

I've had 3 Pass preamps and while they were nice, did not compare musically to my Conrad Johnson preamps. My last Pass was an XP-30 but as nice as it was, sounded too much like solid state to me. I had a CJ ET-5 which was wonderful but now have a GAT and love it.

Hello and thank you
I will ask somebody, without the thumb in the middle, to help me, with some Pictures.
I ve been looking at CJ preamps, but the market over here, is quite limited.
Does anybody know if, a voltage conversion is an easy task, or not?

Look forward to seeing pictures.

As for voltage conversion it depends on the unit. Some are relatively easy to do internally. Worst case, you can always buy an external voltage converter. I think for preamps that would be very reasonable, for amps that require a lot of power, you may need to be careful.

I have been through a lot of gear. But i feel that, i am almost there now. Am currently looking, for another preamp.
The copperplate alone weighs 31,4 kgs.

Hello Again.
i was so lucky, that i got to test the dac100 and the pre100, from Danish Audio Design.
I find that they are a great match, to my CJ`s.
Sad thing is,i can`t afford tokeep them...

The rack is from the danish company, Audio Magic.
Every shelfe is resting on spikes. furthermore i have filled the legs with sand.
So they are quite heavy and sounddead.
Sadly they closed shop, a couple of years ago.
