Northlake Engineering Transformer
Northlake Engineering Transformer
I have 2 C126-109 Northlake Engineering transformers that I need to identify. I'm told they were made for Conrad Johnson Premier One but the schematic shows the output transformer has 8 leads & the power transformer has 12 leads. The transformers that I have have 10 leads. Any help in identifying these transformers would be appreciated.
Re: Northlake Engineering Transformer
I think you may have posted this in the wrong section as this is more for selling/buying. Anyway,... I don't own a premier one so I can't be specific but a little google search came up with some pictures of the premier one's internals. Do the transformers look like the ones in the pictures: http://www.hifido.co.jp/KW/G0105/E/0-50 ... -71137-00/

Re: Northlake Engineering Transformer
Thanks for replying admin. It's shaped like the power transformer in the link you gave me. However, the schematic I downloaded shows 3 separate power transformers identified as T7 with a total of 12 leads, mine has only 10 leads.
Re: Northlake Engineering Transformer
The huge Northlake C126-109 transformers are used as the main transformer for the PREM ONE amplifiers.JohnK wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 11:41 am I have 2 C126-109 Northlake Engineering transformers that I need to identify. I had the C126-131Northlake main transformers in my PREM FIVE mono's:
Below are the specs for the C126-131 (smaller) Powertransformer
PRI-1 (BLK-BRN-BLU) 95/115 V
PRI-2 (WHT/BLK-WHT/BRN-WHT/BLU): 95/115 V
SEC-1 (YEL-YEL): 500 VDC @ 0.80 ADC B+ Plate current for power output tubes & 400/430V for plate current front-end section 5751 triode/phase inverters.
SEC-2 (ORG-ORG): 12.6 VDC @ 1.5 ADC Heaters front-end section
SEC-3 (RED-RED): 90 VDC @ 0.030 ADC Bias supply power output tubes
SEC 4: (VIO-WHT/VIO-VIO) +/-10VDC @ 0.10ADC Reference – and supply voltages for opamp biascircuit.
SEC 5 (GRY-WHT) 12.6V @ 7.2 A Heaters power output tubes
The main transformer in my current CJ Evolution 2000 amp is a C126-154.
It would be nice indeed to have a datasheet of all the Northlake C126 Series transformers CJ used and their gear but even Northlake themselves seems not to be able to produce a document like that.

I also try to find labeling pins of Northlake 126-161 transformer from PF2. It is uncommon for such recognized company, why all the ingredients are so mysterious. In term of high quality elaboration all products is normal, you need after long years some information to reviving it.
