I've actually never put a watt meter on my PV12 or D/A-2b as I view them as low power components. You should not have to worry about heat issues as long as there is some little ventilation. I find that my amplifier puts out many more times as much heat as any other equipment in my setup.

Do you plan to run them in a completely sealed cabinet? I typically don't recommend that for any component as with extended play times even low power usage equipment can get pretty hot if they are completely sealed in a small space. Also, make sure your amp is not in there as that will generate significantly more heat.

If you absolutely need a power consumption reading on the PV12 and D/A-2b let me know and I get readings for you but it's a little bit of hassle due to my wiring setup. You can always just throw a thermometer in there as well and keep an eye on the temperature.

I'm going to buy a second component fan just to be safe. It keeps the PV12A at about 88°

Thanks for the reply.

88 degrees (F) is fine. That's below ambient temperature in many climates.
