Preamp Match

I have a Conrad Johnson MF2550 solid state amp in my present system, and I have on order a McIntosh C2500 tube preamp. The McIntosh will be replacing a Rogue RP-5 tube preamp as I found the combination a little uninvolving. Does anyone have experience using a CJ amp with a McIntosh pre?

I have, for a short while had a McIntosh C28 running my Premier 140. It was not memorable; not interesting; not a match. You have not commented on your experience with the CJ/Mc combination? I have both a PV12 in excellent shape and Premier 17 that will be going up for sale soon. Good luck.
Is this your first CJ? What are your likes; what speakers are you running? What is your sound goal?
