This Saturday I am looking to buy a Conrad Johnson TEA2 MAX used, how can I make it sure it is the max, anybody have a picture of the Inside
The serial number is TEA2HGMAX 08311010 thank you for any info.

I'm not trying to be facetious, but the presence of "MAX" in the serial number is probably a good indicator. Also, you do realize that this is the HG (High Gain) version of the phonostage?

Correct, the serial number on the back of the unit should indicate it very clearly. What's inside, hopefully, should be what you're after, unless some smart fella has tried to modify the circuit. Once you've got the unit, I would send it across to cj just for a check up. They'll known exactly if it is in original condition.
