V-Cap are considered amongst the best but are VERY expensive. It will probably be cheaper to send it to CJ for the upgrade with their CJD Teflon capacitors.

Abora,

Here is a link to a story concerning someone who upgraded a Premier 14 preamp, you may have seen this:

Great link. I mirrored the site and put it into our schematics database as anybody working on the Premier 14 would probably find it beneficial.

This is indeed a great writing on the upgrade of the Premier 14. I upgraded my Premier 14 and followed this writing which turned out fantastic. With that said the PV14 and Premier 14 are very different animals. The PV14 is a very basic entry level preamp and the Premier 14 was at the time the top of the line CJ preamp built to a much higher standard.
The PV14 has a very basic power supply by CJ standards and the Premier 14 has top quality parts to begin with and a super power supply. The Pr14 with $1000 worth of upgrade parts is very very close to my ACT2 after the upgrade.
