PV-9 or PV-12?
I'm looking into acquiring a vintage Conrad Johnson preamp and wanted the opinion of CJ aficionados. If I had to choose between a PV-9 or a PV-12, which preamp should I go for (any why)? By the way, I mainly listen to vinyl nowadays. Thanks!

Re: PV-9 or PV-12?
aaaHello,
Both are very good unit as everybody know.
The add value of any CJ pre is the phono input in general,in my opinion thePV 9a is one of the best issue in this field but this unit is very hard to find
the subjective sound has plenty of matter, the weight of music significant.
I do not recommand the first version ofPV9 and would prefer the PV12
kind regards
