I rushed headlong into replacing parts in my power supply, when I got my PV5 out of storage. Unfortunately, I didn't take enough pictures beforehand. Now I can't figure one thing out - the in on the second voltage regulator appears to connect to nothing!
Can that be right?
I also seem to not have had a C11, or I can't figure out where it went. It appears to be a bypass for C7-9, so I just soldered on the bottom. Is that ok?
I mainly want to know about the voltage regulators before hooking back up!
Finally, is it worth spending a bunch of money on C25 and C30?
I was planning on spending on C29!
Thanks for any help,
Mark

Re: Newbie PV5 questions
Hi Mark. Welcome to CJO. You may want to download the schematics to the PV5 as I'm sure it could help you "put it back together."
