Premiere 17ls vs 17ls2

Post by JustCJ »

Hello,
my first post here, I apologize for my bad english.
Need some help/advice for a premiere 17ls or ls2 . The question is, I am not sure if my pre is a model ls or a model ls2.
The rear plate, where the serial number is, says PREM17LS2 ; on the contrary, on the front panel, it says LS (with no 2).

So how i can tell if it is a ls or ls2? I'm a bit confused.

Have a look here:

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me
Cheers

Hey mate, greetings from down unda!

Your preamp is a version 2- if that's what it states on the label/serial number plate. The front panel is mostly for cosmetic and aesthetic purposes. Always go by the serial /plate product identifier label.

I am sure that LS2 version is sounding wonderful in your system, CJ has always managed to push the limits further with all of their version 2 products regardless of cost. Enjoy and have a good one!

Hello RJ!
thank you for your replay. And yes, it's definitely a LS2. Meanwhile i've reached out CJ support service and they told me it's a LS2.
These units are fitted with teflon caps. Yeah, it sounds wonderful, i'm really enjoing it . Definitely the best preamp I've ever owned.
Cheers
