My pleasure.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe 4th of July holiday weekend.
I'll be heading in a few minutes to a friend's for a get together of about a dozen of us. Here in NJ you can't escape the smoke from the Canadian fires but at least today it's a little better than it has been.

Two Possibilities
Here are two albums I've obtained that some may find worth trying out. The first is free from David Chesky's The Audiophile Society and is entitled The HiFi Collective . There are multiple formats available. I downloaded the DSD version which I've really grown to like. https://theaudiophilesociety.c...

Re: The Decrapifier by Schiit Audio
Given the manufacturer's name the product's name in turn almost seems a natural. In a 2015 review by John Darko he describes it in so many words as a more ambitious AQ Jitterbug. https://darko.audio/2015/09/schiit-wyrd-usb-decrapifier-review/ Schiit co-founders Jason Stoddard and Mike Moffat typical...

AJ, you've put a good deal of effort into identifying the different factors affecting what we hear (or don't). Thanks for relaying what you've found it's been really informative as far as I'm concerned.

AJ, came across this on the PS Audio forum and thought it might be if interest to you. https://forum.psaudio.com/t/heard-the-new-wilson-sasha-v-with-full-dcs-stack-wow/34114 "I went to a demo here in nyc this weekend of the new Sasha V speakers, driven by d’agastino electronics and the dealer d...

Re: CT5 vs premier 16 LS2 vs premier 17 LS2
admin's point regarding newer = greater longevity is of course valid. The following is from a thread on AudiogoN which you may already be familiar with but is germane to the argument that the 6922 is more tubey sounding than the 6H30π. "I have a CJ CT-5 which uses the same tube. Prior to that I...

Re: Phillips PCC88 or Gold Lion 6922
Philips originally developed the 6DJ8 (ECC88) in the Netherlands. Other companies such as Siemens and Telefunken soon introduced their own versions and variants such as the 6922 (E88CC) and 7308 (E188CC).

Hopefully, unlike the character Godot, the unit does arrive and even better, sooner rather than later.
Keep positive.

Re: Chet Baker, Chet
Totally agree, it's one of my favorite albums period. I have it on CD which I ripped and it's one of the albums I always include in playlists I use with JRiver and Foobar2000. I imagine the LP is so much the better.

Re: Streaming reliability and streamer updating
My knowledge of things electrical wouldn't fill a thimble. I do know, however, if I stick the LAN Isolator into the Ethernet port on my 105D and another into the Ethernet port on the DS DAC and then insert their respective Ethernet cables into the LAN Isolator it makes a difference in the sound. You...

Re: Streaming reliability and streamer updating
Your dCS DAC is very high end and its Ethernet connection may already be isolated in which case an isolator would not be needed. If you do have any other Ethernet end points that aren't then there might be some benefits to be gained. It's the Ethernet connections going into a source unit such as a D...

Re: Streaming reliability and streamer updating
I like the fact that Paul doesn't purport to have all the answers and doesn't "know" precisely what's going on with streaming. He has some possibilities in mind: bandwidth compression, jitter, and the lack of galvanic isolation in some cases. I don't know about how the DACs you have, AJ, s...

She was a late discovery for me, too -- August, 2021. I kept seeing her albums pop-up on one of the threads over on the PS Audio forum and asked for recommendations. One of her fans suggested Eva by Heart, Songbird and Live at Blues Alley so I ordered them from Amazon and have been enjoying them eve...
