Apart from the "semi-philisophical' answer of the first poster on your question, did you ever solve the question about the kind of material used for the caps?
I believe CJ now prefers only Teflon caps.

My Premier Fives, and probably all the aging CJ amps could probably need a cap update of the 1,300uF and 3,300uF big blue Sprague filtercaps.
Maybe there some more candidates on the bottomside I did not look for yet.

Any suggestions?

Beautiful amp indeed, but bettered by Premier Four & Five according to TAS en Stereophile.
It put CJ on the high-end scene and it's probably the most collectible amp there's.

Aaaah, Searched the Internet for a PV9a for months.....
Best tube pre-amp I've ever heard.
Maybe CAT SL1 or AR SP 10 is better.
