Re: Oh! For the love of tubes!

Well, I have some in stock. I was lucky to get the Cstock just at the beginning. The price was very low if I do the comparison. Also bought some Genalex Gold Lion 6922 too. This Genalex is not a bad sounding tube, I do know that there are other brands offering better sound. OTOH I am very happy with...

Re: Oh! For the love of tubes!

Hola Chicos, Last night I had the left channel with a truly rare, peculiar, unsteady behavior of one power KT'120. It was located at the front of the amp. The LED bias started to blinking on one tube, and then I did try to adjust it with no luck...then I saw another tube just behind it, with the top...

Re: PF-1 power rating for step down transformer

Thanks Admin, You are right with this!!! All I know is that. On the other hand, you can configure the pre for AC input 120 V. or 240V. But I forgot the AC cable and the connectors. Yes, you need a special IEC 240V AC plug and cable. Just thinking loud, this could be a nice DIY project or you might t...

Re: PF-1 power rating for step down transformer

Hola. As far as I know, all Conrad Johnson products are made with all posible power voltages. Just take a look inside, follow the main AC line, and you will see what I mean.

Happy listening!

Re: LP70S vs LP140m

Great advice Admin! I love the KT-120s in my system. I did try out recently an octet of KT88s, and ending again with the KT-120s. I found much better bass control and the stage too. The overall image with the right size of the musical instruments and voices, the KT-120s Tung-Sol are the clear winner...

Re: Regenerator and my CJ monoblocks

I just got for service an amplifier with a hum on only one channel. This amp came to my hands from another workshop. Thanks to God, it was not canibaliczed but the did try to find from where this unwanted hum came from. I was lucky. I don't know the reason why, but the problem was an induction hum. ...

Re: CT5 vs premier 16 LS2 vs premier 17 LS2

Hola Chicos, The quality sound on both preamps are great and easy to tell if you do a comparison with other brands having similar retail price, and I will add, being CJ less expensive than the others. The newer model, the ET'5 to my ears is more pure, more kind of organic sound, more precise. You ar...

Hola Chicos,

Great recommendation Joe. The second track has a mandolin with a bass clarinet and a Fender bass, with some percussion. This is a great recording. I got it in 192KHz sampling rate.

Re: Tube dampers

With much respect, Parlatec was the representative of ARC since late 80s to 2015. I worked with Mr James Saxon selling and also servicing ARC.
These silicone transparent o-rings came inside the factory sealed carton box in a white little box. These o/ rings were supplied by ARC, believed or not.

Re: Tube dampers

Abuse? I don't think so. These O-rings came with the ARC new goods inside their carton box. They were supposed to last forever, but the material with the years of used, did change due to the temperature of the original tubes and they did melt with the age. Many ARC users in other countries, includin...

Re: PCC88s vs 6922s

It is not a direct replacement for the PCC88/6922. Read this: T he 5670 pinout is radically different. Electrically and in terms of internal design it is very similar to the 6DJ8/6922 which became very popular in American high end audio gear, but one can't plug it into a 6922 socket. There are 6922 ...

Re: New version of RC-20 available

Ari is a very smart and she is always for any game. Everything is a game for her. The empty plastic bottles (cokes or water bottles) are a truly toys for her. She loves the noise of the plastic when she bites them. Also the tennis balls, they last only a couple of days, but she really is busy playin...

Re: New version of RC-20 available

Chicos, I was thinking that I could installed the old batteries back to the RC-20 instead the fresh ones. Why I did such a silly thing? The answer is easy. I had two beautiful dogs that I had to put them to sleep. They were with us over 14 years! The first one to go was Venus, a German Shepherd, on ...

Re: New version of RC-20 available

But this is not the case. The remote was laying on my bobby's room table doing nothing and also without batteries. Then I decided to do the video, so I took the RC-10 batteries off and put them on the RC-20 for the video. Once I did the video, I pointed the remote to the ET-7V2 and it turned the pre...

Re: New version of RC-20 available

I have a gremlin around here somewhere. The remote is working nicely now. I did not do anything. It just lied there for 5 days without batteries, and I just installed the batteries back for the video, and tried it, and now it is working as it should. Very strange things are happening. I started to b...

Re: New version of RC-20 available

Mine is not working. It is sending signal, checked with my cell camera. I can see the led on while pressing any push button, and see it blinking, but it is not working. A dear friend has two remote controls lend me one plastic (RC-10) and works the same as the RC-20. Mine stopped working from one da...

MLAS, If you find the way to suppress that odd noises coming from the volume relays, please tell us. Even Mr. Jeff says that those noises are a normal behavior of the preamp volume control. All these days CJ preamps uses these volume type control. Here is a replay to me from Mr Jeff Fischel... The a...

Re: Evolution 20 questions

Hola, If your speakers are very sensitive, it is normal when you go up or down with the knob. CJ uses a very careful way to bring the level up or down. It is a precision +- 0.7dB. So you can adjust precisely the level that you want to listen. Yes, I know, it is annoying...and there is no way to take...
