Re: Conrad Johnson ART Amplifier Review
I think admin needs his signature updated.
I know exactly how he’s feeling these days. The ART monos are absolutely awesome. I don’t think the new ART150/300’s are better, just different.
The deal makes them sound even sweeter. Congrats again.

Congratulations again.
These are definitely some of the top amps I’ve owned or heard. You got an incredible deal. Enjoy in great health.

Re: Does anyone own the CJ CAV45-S2 Stereo Control Amplifier?
RJ,
Thank you so much, as always, for your detailed and insightful post. Very much appreciated.
Which Lamm Audio amp do you favor? And yes, my main concern is an amp for my Duo XD.

Re: Does anyone own the CJ CAV45-S2 Stereo Control Amplifier?
I was thinking about the CAV45-S2 to sort of hold me over until I can squeeze out the ART27A :) I know as I write that or say it out loud, it sounds even crazier. Power on either is not an issue. Lack of remote on the CAV45-S2 is a bit of a deal breaker. Based on recommendations from friends intimat...

Re: Does anyone own the CJ CAV45-S2 Stereo Control Amplifier?
That's a great question.
All I know from some posts and a brief conversation with a friend, the series 1 is great but the series 2 is way better.

Re: Art amps and ET7s2 auctions
Great news!
When I had my original GAT and ART monos, I had to run everything from one 20A outlet to stop any hum or noise. Multiple dedicated outlets were problematic.

Re: Art amps and ET7s2 auctions
Huge congratulations! So happy for you. I guess there are always "next items on the list". I'm sure I'm going to spend a good amount of time with my current setup. Right now I am just "over the clouds happy" with the sonic improvement. I'm sure it would be even better with an ET7...

DO NOT RUN A TUBE AMP WITHOUT A LOAD. MAKE SURE YOUR SPEAKER WIRES ARE ALWAYS PROPERLY CONNECTED BEFORE RUNNING A TUBE AMP.
Very important. SS is okay but NOT tube amps.

Re: Sell my GAT2 to buy Kondo Overture?
All great advice above. Thank you. I’m still ART27A curious and will hold out some hope. My original plan was to buy a “better” DAC first. That’s what I’m going to do. In the meantime, I can consolidate some cables and gear to gather some funds. A couple of friends helped me see a more normal path. ...

I’ve had great luck with his platinum grade but never ordered his “stash” grade tubes. I don’t remember seeing them. I’ll have to take a look.

Re: Sell my GAT2 to buy Kondo Overture?
Hi Jim, My thinking would be my Luxman 590 AXII for SS integrated and the Kondo for an end game tube integrated. Something in my gut tells me the ART27A could also be an end game. If I can demo either, I'll know, obviously. My GAT2 with my SIT3 has been outstanding. I am actually hesitant to change ...

Re: Sell my GAT2 to buy Kondo Overture?
Thank you RJ,
I’m talking to my CJ dealer this week. I have some questions I need answered.
This will be a slow process. As far as the Kondo goes, even the Overture is a stretch and probably a purchase without demo.
