+1, RJ.
My preference would be Johny Walker Black and some Miles or Trane.

Audiogon Forum
There's a horrible thread in the Audiogon Forum re C-J Service. Doesn't sound like C-J to me. Any comments?

Re: Announcing the conrad-johnson CA-45 control amplifie
Nice choice re: the Aria. I'm a fan of Rega as well. Really find the CA-45 so interesting. Love the idea of SIMPLICITY coupled with fine performance. I have thought about a very simple SET system for some time, Just another costly fantasy as I have two systems that I really love already. Best regard...

Re: Announcing the conrad-johnson CA-45 control amplifie
Wanted to add, With so many product permutations, the possibilities are endless. I was using a very compact solid state pre similar to the NAD. Maybe a tad costlier. Moving up to the Cadenza Bronze made me think that I should take the pre up a few notches. one can go absolutely bonkers cash wise on ...

Re: Announcing the conrad-johnson CA-45 control amplifie
Obviously, C-J makes one which I'm sure is terrific. However you didn't mention what cartridge you are using, a big part of the puzzle. I must admit that choosing a phone-pre to me is on of the most challenging issues in hifi. In my current set-up I am using an Ortofon Cadenza Bronze, Bob's Devices ...

Love the Bozaks. 15inch woofers? Are there any other mods besides the tweeter?

Re: CA200 subwoofer connections
Hello Jank, I too have the CA200. Believe it's the finest integrated I've ever heard. Mine is completely silent. I use the Theater Out (EPL 2) jacks to connect to my headphone amp. That might work for you. As far as the sub is concerned, you could always try a REL. They use a Neutric Connector that ...

Re: Alan's System
Hi Joe, Thanks for all that info. Very thought provoking. Have experimented in the past with other amps and various fuses and various interconnects. Currently, all my interconnects are Signal Cable, power cords are PSB, speaker cables are Audioquest Gibraltar. I'm so pleased with the way things are ...

Re: Alan's System
Thanks Joe. Totally agree, the CA200 is a keeper. Doesn't matter how old it is. It's just one of those great hi-fi anomalies.

Re: Alan's System
Thank you admin, most of my listening is speakers. Usually use the phones late night or early weekend mornings when the rest of my crew is still in bed, however sometimes they're just fun to listen to. Btw, the headphone amp is a Bottlehead Crack kit with the Speedball mod that I recently built. Tot...

Alan's System
Meant to get around to this for a while. My only piece of CJ equipment is a CA200 that I bought on Audiogon about a year ago. It's actually the finest SS "integrated" I've ever heard. When the new CA150 was announced, I got in touch with the company and the person who I was corresponding w...

Re: Headphone Amp Connection
Solved the problem with much help from almarg who responded to my post on Audiogon. Driving the headphone amp from the Theater/EPL2 out and turning down the volume all the way, not using the Mute button.

Headphone Amp Connection
Not sure if I'm placing this question in the right spot, but here goes. I am the very proud owner of a CA200. I love it and plan on keeping it for a long time. I want to add a headphone amp to my system, but can't figure out how. I thought I could drive one from the Pre-Outs, but they are muted when...

Re: New member from New Jersey
Hi Ad(min), Thanks for your kind words and warm welcome. As per my earlier post there is a substantial rug and other furniture just 4 feet south of the equipment rack. The floor is some type of wood veneer. I believe the color is called Winchester. Believe I found Signal Cable on AudiogoN. Frank see...

Re: New member from New Jersey
Hello RJ, Thanks for your kind words. The speakers are Emerald Physics EPx's. Emerald is a relatively new US speaker company. They specialize in flat panel designs however this model has a carbon fiber tube going diagonally from the woofer to the floor. There's quite a bit of info on the web as well...
