I Don't know for sure which vintage c-j components had their circuit boards mounted using rubber grommets to isolate the mounting bolts. Hello, all, I own a Premier Three preamp, which was updated by conrad-johnson back in 1990 to include the 1986 "revised" stepped balance control, silver wiring and power supply capacitor upgrades. If you're really interested in trying out some of the non-shorting RCA caps, might as well start with the best. I'd go with "film-and-foil" caps, myself...
