PV12L whine/ringing issue
A few weeks ago my PV12 (linestage only) developed an occasional and intermittent very high pitched whine through the speakers. It was really only audible when no music was playing. I thought it may be the preamp tubes so I replaced them which only made it worse. (I had checked the tubes that I used...

Re: Official Schematics and Manuals Thread (Registered Users)
The service manual for the PV12 isn't actually in the zip file for part 1: there are 2 files for the PV12 but both are just schematics.
Is the service manual available?

Re: Wes_in_VA's living room setup
I do have most everything on a power conditioner. The only thing that isn't at this point is the external power supply for the phono pre.
My stuff is sitting on the Vibrapod footers. I think they make a difference, particularly with the tt. It's pretty much immune from vibration issues.

Re: Wes_in_VA's living room setup
Oh yeah: I've also installed an analog front end in this system with a Rega Planar 2/Audioquest PT6/Denon DL 103M running into a modded Cambridge Audio 640p.

Re: Wes_in_VA's living room setup
Nice setup. It has very retro look to it, but nice. Clean lines and setup. Very cool! So what's your opinion on the Emotiva line? They have really taken the audiophile world by storm. Selling direct at bargain prices. I find that the discussion on most forums about emotiva is very polarized, people...

Wes_in_VA's living room setup
I've recently become the lucky owner of a PV12 preamp, replacing my Audible Illusions Modulus 2B. I thought the AI was great...until I got my CJ. The current setup replaces the Emotiva ERC-2 cdp with a Shanling CD-3000. Preamp is of course the PV12. Amplification is a Legacy 4/3/2 amp feeding into B...

Re: A quite new CJ fan arrives
That is indeed an Emotiva ERC-2 cdp. It's been replaced by a Shanling CD-3000 since that pic was taken, though.
I'll post some more system pics over in the gallery. Nice to be here!

A quite new CJ fan arrives
Greetings from Southwest VA. My first CJ experience was last year. I stopped in my local stereo place and they had an MV 75 driving some top-end Monitor Audio speakers. I loved what I heard. Since that day I've lusted after CJ stuff but it wasn't until a very, very lucky find at a thrift store that ...
