Re: The PV15 at its best!
The points you make are the reason that I have essentially not been "upgrading" constantly. My "simple" PV12 has worked so flawlessly that I am a little scared of upgrading. CJ is top quality, but the more components and more complex circuit design, the more opportunities with failure. Would I somet...

Re: The PV15 at its best!
Hi RJ, Welcome back, nice to hear from you again. Your statements really resonate with my views. I always have the "itch" to upgrade but I try very hard to restrain myself when I find a sound I like. I've been using a PV12 for a number of years and I know it's now an old model,... but darn, I just l...

Oppo Digital Closing
https://www.oppodigital.com/farewell.aspx I was very sad to see that it appears that Oppo Digital is going to be closing. I have owned a number of their players over the past decade and I heard that their headphone products were also liked by enthusiasts. They really made high quality products and ...

Re: Premier 350SA for sale
You can certainly post here as there have been sales via CJO. Then of course there is Audiogon, Ebay, and Craigslist. Audiogon and Ebay have fees. Posting a few pictures would probably be a good idea.

Re: MF2500 throwing 68 DCvolt out on right channel
Cute picture,... I hope it's unplugged!
Glad the work went well.
As for the schematic you can email it to me at "admin@conradjohnsonowners.com" and I can add it to our database. Essentially all our schematics in the database were donated by our users so there should be no problem.

Re: New media rack in the Home Theater
It's the Expedit shelf series from Ikea. Unfortunately, they are no longer produced (but are replaced with a similar series called Kallax, http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50301543/ ). I've seen a lot of people use these for records as they are very sturdy and come in different sizes. I ha...

Re: Classic Sixty SE Input Tube Heater Mod - Why?
Interesting. As I presume the unit is working well it should not be a problem. It would be interesting to see another classic sixty SE to see if this is standard or truly a mod.

Re: PV 12 Phase Inverting?
Yes, the PV12 is phase inverting. If you have no other phase inverting components in your system then the simplest thing to do is reveres the speaker wire positive/negative connections at either the amp or the speaker.

Re: What is phase inversion and what do I do about it?
I always took that to mean that the PV12 is phase inverting regardless of source (including phono stage). Meaning that the phono stage input will still be phase reversed when sent to the amp via the PV12 outputs. Hence, the phono stage by itself is phase correct, but the output from the PV12 will al...

Re: need advice
In that case most likely it's not the tubes. You may have to go through the schematics and try to identify a bad component. At least it's limited to the left channel components so it does narrow it down a bit.

Gorgeous setup. I love how you captured the light reflecting off of the front panel of the PV10. Very nice, congrats.

Hello,
Welcome to the site and nice to have you with us. If you have a chance, post some pictures of the setup, I'm sure it's nice. Big fan of Rega (owned one for many years), I think they build some incredible turntables for very reasonable prices.

Re: What DAC are you using with your CJ
None other than the CJ D/A-2b. I really like the sound and it's unlikely to be replaced (unless CJ introduces a new DAC).
