Hi admin,
True about the PF2. I had enjoyed it for years. I recently upgraded to the Et3se and boy, what a big difference in sound. I can’t wait to get my hands on a tube amp!!

Re: Normal Operating Temperature for MF2500A
Hi,
I don’t have the MF2500A. My MF2300 does run hot. It gets uncomfortable if I leave my hand on the side too long. But I don’t think it radiate that much heat. Not like a heater would.

Re: Premier 140 and Tube Rolling
Hi Truth71,
I have the same problem with the et3 pre amp (54dB) and my rega set up with Ania cartridge. I bought a 1:5 step up transformer and it solve that problem. Now, the volume is fine and not noisy like before.

Re: Premier 12s to original Art Monblocks or Art 150?
Hi guys, I would love to have the Art, but way out of my league. MattHooper, It does sound like you do love your premier 12 and you hold it in high regard. My dream amp is the classic 120se, but at $11k, just out of my reach now. There is a premier 12 c1 for sale for $6,200 on audiogon and Premier 1...

Re: MF 2200
Hi. I current have the MF 2300 and it does run hot to the touch. I joked with my wife that I can fried eggs on there. But it never gave me any problem. I had it for 6 to 7 years now. I brought it in for service with the hot issue once and the guy couldn't find any problem with it. He upgraded the 3 ...

Classic 120se or LP 260Mse
Hi, I recent picked up the Et3se. Been pairing with MF2300. Thinking of upgrading to a tube amp. Can't find any Classic 120se on the used market. Brand new will be about $9k total. I have seen used LP260Mse for about $7k. Which one would be better for value and performance? Anyone has experienced wi...

Re: et3se high gain phono stage noise
I am in the US. I followed the advice and I actually unplug everything from the et3 except for the output to the speakers. Even with that, When I turn volume up to 100, the line stage (cd & aux (dac) source) has a very very low static, but the phone stage (phone source) has a much higher hum (st...

et3se high gain phono stage noise
Hi, I just bought a used (mint condition) et3se with the high gain phono stage. Love the way it sounds, especially through the line stages. But I notice that the phono stage has a hum (low static) noise. And the noise gets louder as I turn up the volume. Very noticeable past 60 (volume). I thought i...

Re: Premier 140 and Tube Rolling
Hi T&Q I am having the same trouble with my Rega MC cartridge (.35mV) at 54db. I have to turn the volume way up. Bob's Devices step up transformer solved your problem? Did you have to change your phono stage gain or did you leave it at 53db? I can't change the db on my phono preamp because it is...

Re: Conrad Johnson PF2 Low output MC Cartridge
The Rega came in. So far, I was able to listen to some of my LPs (Norah Jones, Blondie, Dire Straits, Sam Cooke) at about 10 o'clock on the volume dial. And the music was a joy to listen to. And my understanding is it will get even better as it burns in. The only one that sounds really underwhelming...

Re: Conrad Johnson PF2 Low output MC Cartridge
Thank you. Just like you, I really enjoy my PF2. I have tube headphone amplifier and like that very much too. I may buy the PV9 just to try it out. It was just serviced by CJ so I think it should be in good condition. I can't see myself selling the PF2 though. Will see. Thanks again.

Re: Conrad Johnson PF2 Low output MC Cartridge
By the way, I have a chance to pick up a PV9. Would you recommend that I replace the PF2? Would there be a big audio differences? I feel like I am in jeopardy of having to keep upgrading my components!!

Conrad Johnson PF2 Low output MC Cartridge
Hello, I am an owner of CJ PF2 pairs with CJ MF2300. Love the phono stage. I am upgrading my turntable from an old Rega Planar 3 to the current Rega P6 with the Ania MC cartridge. Was wondering if using the 52db gain is enough or do I need a step up transformer. I tried to call support at CJ and it’...

Re: Shipping to Conrad Johnson
Thanks Admin! I couldn't wait and went home during lunch and ticker with MF2300. You were right. I took the switch apart and the copper piece inside was a bit loose. Reset it and the switch is working fine. I guess I should be more "gentle" turning it on and off. I didn't realize how easy ...
