Re: Another Unexpected Comparison
My McIntosh MT-5 table is made in Germany by Clearaudio and has the magnetic plinth support and antskating as well. Works well.
Also, have you tried different taps on those nice autoformers?

Aj, do you actually enjoy a little fun? Sure doesn't seem like it sometimes!
Looking forward to the next twenty pages or so on your next non-CJ purchase.
FYI, that's two Porsches!!
Best,

Re: Wilson speakers
AJ, I love my stuff, just as you do yours. But "would seem to have potential" strikes me as somewhat patronizing regarding this venerable brand that has, does and will set a very high standard.

Bill

Re: Wilson speakers
Just for fun I dropped in on my friendly neighborhood McIntosh dealer. I had them play Man in the Long Black coat. They streamed it through a HiFi Rose 150, their top streamer. They set it up to play through the fancy two box top of the line McIntosh preamp and a pair of the latest 1200+ Wpc monobl...

"Its part of a retired guy’s man cave. It would not pass in a shared space. You should see the other “workshop” half of the room. The man cave esthetic is in full force. Certainly not as nice a fashion statement as a wall of McIntosh, though there are a couple of meterless McIntosh boxes on the...

Re: Clearance/closeouts
Yes, all solid companies easily beat the alternative "boutique", one man shops as a business. If you were a top engineer, would you bet your career on one other overstressed dude that doesn't have time to design, build, repair, answer inquiries and market?
I think not.
