Re: Adding the GAT 2!
The summits do not have any kind of dsp built in. You talk a lot but know precious little. As I said in the last post, I'll leave this forum to you. You're Mr know it all. Gday.

I can see that your the alpha on this forum, and why I've not bothered being on any of these things in years. I'll respectively bow out now. It was fun being here for five minutes. You remind me of a guy on the Steve Hoffman forum that knew everything too.

Re: Adding the GAT 2!
Not talking about 2905s. It's known that they had a ton of trouble with that model. The new 2812 and 2815 have definitely got the bugs out. Had the CLXs for a few years driven by a pair of Burmester 911s in mono. Excellent speakers, i had #5 and #6. Went to ML to oversee final assembly and the folks...

Re: What are your favorite tubes for the MV60/60SE?
Well, you obviously haven't heard one with better tubes. Of course they sound just fine out of the box, and they have to go with hand picked samples of what is commercially available and voice accordingly. As does ARC, McIntosh, BAT and the others. If you talk to the people who actually make the gea...

Re: Adding the GAT 2!
Thanks. That's room two. Here's the big room, albeit a little messy right now: The Neoliths are fantastic, review is right here. http://www.tonepublications.com/review/scaling-the-mighty-neolith/ MartinLogan really knocked it out of the park, but they are fairly big, size wise and they are 80 grand....

Re: CJMV60SE
Actually, driver tubes usually outlast power tubes by a considerable margin. The NOS tubes are more expensive, always sound "different" and whether that's "better" or not to you is one thing, but where a set of $50 EH tubes might go 5000 hours a $300 set of NOS tubes might go 40-...

Re: What are your favorite tubes for the MV60/60SE?
I don't have a Classic 60 though. The EH tubes are really kind of no big deal, as are the new Mullards. Not bad, but not great. I was hoping someone had a favorite 6SN7 or 12AX7 that really added something to the presentation here over the stock issued tubes. Not always, but usually, a great vintage...

Re: Adding the GAT 2!
Well, actually, I've owned nearly every ML speaker ever made. A big fan. However, in this room the Quads do the job and they do something that no other speaker, not even the ML does. I just got done reviewing the ML Neoliths that were our Speaker of the Year, and have used the CLX, Summit and CLS II...

Re: Anyone running CJ pre with non-CJ SS amp?
Currently reviewing the GAT 2 with my reference Pass Xs 300 mono blocks and the combination is fantastic. It's just like when I started my CJ journey about 35 years ago with a PV-1 and the Threshold 400A power amp. Interesting...

What are your favorite tubes for the MV60/60SE?
I just got my hands on a really clean MV60SE, one of my all time favorite CJ amps!
What are you guys using for the 6SN7 and 12AX7 that you really like? Anything good that isn't crazy money?
Thanks!

Hello from TONEAudio Magazine
Greetings CJ lovers. I'm sure I know a few of you from other places: the web, Facebook and various hifi shows, etc. I've been a happy CJ owner since 1980, when I bought my first PV-1 and have owned quite a few other CJ components over the years, all with excellent result. It will be fun to interact ...
